Since graduating last year, I’ve worked across disciplines in mainly research and writing capacities. A degree in Literary and Cultural Studies has equipped me with tools such as critical thinking, academic writing and primary and secondary research. My research interests lie at the intersection of culture, identity, gender, power and technology. At Project Nile, I’ve worked in a cross-functional capacity dabbling in research, product development, communication, design, outreach and more. As an extrovert, I enjoy meaningful conversations and connecting with people- as a result of which, I like forging partnerships and collaborations.

Amidst my other skills is my deep interest in organizing and performing admin-related tasks- if you need a plan or any logistical figuring out, I’m your girl! The process of building Crowdhive has been thrilling, to say the least. Hours of dealing with backend research to actually building user journeys on Figma has been an exciting experience for me. I’ve picked up several new skills and interests on the way, but most of all, I’m excited about the future of a platform like this. Reward-based crowdfunding is an idea whose time has come in India and it will provide a space for creators to flourish. Furthermore, I’m also intrigued by the possibilities of backers finding and supporting niche interests. I’m excited to be a part of this rewarding (pun intended) journey for both creators and backers!

“Hope” is the thing with feathers- That perches in the soul- And sings the tune without the words- And never stops-at all- -Excerpt from Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope” is the thing with feathers
